New members sought for NRS Pain Steering Committee

NRS Pain / SPaRC are reviewing their steering committee and welcome interest from trainee and pain nurse representatives.
If you are interested, please send in a brief Curriculum Vitae (maximum of 2 pages) and a statement as to what you would bring to the role, and how you might help develop NRS Pain / SPaRC (maximum of 500 words).
NRS Pain / SPaRC brings together around 200 researchers in multiple disciplines and areas, strengthening research links within Scotland to foster academic collaboration and to address research gaps. The commitment required from the steering committee is summarised in the Terms of Reference (ToR):
The NRS Pain/ SPaRC steering committee, with multidisciplinary membership, represents a wide range of expertise. The remit is to promote the aspirations that:
- Clinical practice in managing chronic pain is informed by current research, and;
- Current research in chronic pain is relevant to clinical practice.
Role of steering committee members includes:
- Promote NRS Pain/ SPaRC aspirations
- Active involvement in developing NRS Pain/ SPaRC
- Attendance either in person or by phone at least 2 meetings/ year. (Planning meetings are ~3-4 per year with the ASM in addition)
- Assist with organising and running of the ASMs and other planned meetings
