National Clinical Champion Appointments

As part of the restructuring of the NHS Research Scotland Network, the Chief Scientist Office is looking to appoint National Clinical Champions / Research Network Leads for the following
Scottish Children's Research Network
Scottish Diabetes Research Network
Scottish Stroke Research Network
The remit of these roles is to ensure the effective delivery of research projects in the network portfolio, including increasing the number of patients enrolled into trials. The post holder will be expected to work with the network staff, established groups, individual clinicians, NRS Research & Development Directors and lay representatives to promote, deliver and develop research activity in the area.
The post holder will be a Medical Consultant resident and working in Scotland, and must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in clinical research activity within the topic area.
Hours: 0.2FTE/ 2PAs per week
Salary: Pro-rata within the post holder’s pay scale
Length : 3 years in the first instance, with the possibility to extend
