Vacancy: NRS Champion Support Manager

A vacancy is now open for NRS Champion Support Manager for NRS Musculoskeletal, providing support to Professor Stuart Ralston, the NRS Clinical Lead for NRS Musculoskeletal hosted within NHS Lothian. The post will also ensure that there is local oversight of all SG-supported research taking place within this area, coordinating and supporting local activity to drive recruitment to clinical studies.

The successful applicant will work to ensure that there is an effective local dialogue between researchers, Universities and the NHS to deliver appropriate deployment of resources to support clinical research.
You will have day to day responsibility for gathering and acting on performance management information for clinical studies, and will work closely with the existing NHS research governance and support structures to ensure that studies are effectively supported.
Delivering beneficial change to these established research groups is challenging, requiring both operational understanding of the issues and strategic oversight of the task.
Although the post-holder will be based within the satellite R&D Office at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh they will be required to work across NHS Lothian and work closely with NRS and R&D staff throughout Scotland.
