Applications for the NHS Research Scotland Primary Care Network GP Trainee Conference Bursary 25/26 are now open

Calling all GP Speciality (ST1, 2 and 3), ScotGem (years 2 and 3) and 4th year medical students!

Would you be interested in attending a Primary Care Conference this year?

We are now accepting applications for our GP Trainee Conference Bursary 25/26!

Purpose of the Bursary Scheme

The aim of the Conference Bursary Scheme is to promote and encourage awareness, understanding and experience of research among GP trainees and medical students, increasing research capacity & capability within Primary Care.

Successful applicants will receive a bursary of up to £600 to go towards the costs of registration, travel and accommodation for their chosen conference.

Events attended by previous recipients include:

  • NADEGS: The Scottish Academic GP Conference held in Carnoustie in January of each year
  • The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Conference
  • The Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC) Conference
  • The Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME) meeting

Who can apply?

To be eligible for the bursary you must be a GP Specialty (ST1, 2 and 3), ScotGem (years 2 and 3) or a 4th year medical student and have completed a Quality Improvement or research project.

Applications should be made using the electronic application form.

Closing date for applications is May 9th, 2025.
